Using photos and videos from their life, along with professionally produced footage, we craft a beautifully edited documentary that preserves their story and ensures it lives on for generations to come.

2. Tell Us About Your Family

After booking a production date, we’ll send you forms to share your family’s stories—funny memories, meaningful lessons, and more. You’ll also receive link to upload photos, videos, and other media for the film.

3. Enjoy Production

Production day is busy—but in the best way! We’ll film interviews, capture b-roll, and relive cherished memories on camera, all while ensuring the experience is fun and stress-free for everyone.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Hey, I'm Michael!

Storytelling has always been one of my greatest passions. When I found a way to combine that passion with filmmaking, the idea for Legacy Film Co. was born. Years ago, I first wrote down the concept in a notebook, but it wasn’t until I filmed a video with my dad—just a few years before he passed—that I truly understood the profound impact this work could have.

The video I have of my father allows me to hear his voice, relive his stories, and learn about his dreams, like his plan to move to Central America after retirement to serve underserved communities.

Running a video agency gave me the tools to capture my dad’s story. It inspired me to create Legacy Film Co. so other families could preserve the voices, wisdom, and memories of their loved ones.

Our mission is simple: to tell stories that will be cherished for generations.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m in Woodstock, GA, where I live with my beautiful wife and our little girl, Charlotte.

What does it cost to produce a Legacy Film?

We offer multiple packages starting at $5000.

What is a special moments recording?

A special moments recording is a message from your family member to save for a future occasion.

Examples:

- A grandfather records a message for a granddaughter for her college graduation.

- A great grandmother records a message for a grandson after their first child is born.

How many people can be in the film?

Up to two people can share their story together. For example, this could be a mother and father or a grandmother and grandfather.

Who owns the raw footage? Will we have access to it?

You own the rights to the footage! We’ll securely store it on our servers. However, we reserve the right to use the footage for promotional purposes.

What content is included in the documentary film?

Depending on the length of the film, our editing team will select specific moments from the interview that highlight key moments and lessons to include in the final video.

Our team also welcomes suggestions for sections that your family would like to see included in the final video.

What is broll?

Broll footage is supplementary material utilized in the complete films of your family member, showcasing their interests, such as hobbies, and interactions with grandchildren or other family members.

When do we receive the final video?

Our editing process takes 3 to 4 weeks after filming is complete. Once you review the first draft of the film, we allow up to 2 rounds of revisions before finalizing the video.
